I went to Disneyland & Meet Mickey Mouse!!!

Mickey was great. He noticed that I had on a Mickey Mouse shirt and was carrying my Mickey Mouse stuffed animal. He signed my autograph book too. He is super cool, I am a fan for life!
When I meet Pluto I had no idea that he could write, I was super excited that he signed my book too.

I meet Tigger, he really has a lot of energy.

Minnie Mouse wrote in my book “Much Love to Lily, love always Minnie Mouse” She is the best! I even wore a dress like Minnie Mouse’s.

On my birthday I got to ride in the very front of the monorail, it was cool.

In the middle of the day I got kind of bored with the whole thing. I took a lot of naps while we were there.

Mama & Dada let me have Mickey Mouse ice cream, I ate almost the whole thing.

I went on a ton of rides with Mama & Dada. I rode the carousel in Disneyland and California Adventure at least 10 times total.

I really liked this ride, Mama didn’t like it so much because I wanted it to go up in the sky higher and higher. Here I am on the Tea Cups, I rode them 5 times.

We went to Disneyland

Lily LOVED Disneyland…except for the crowds and having to stay with Mama and Dada the whole time. She just wanted to run all over the place.

The first character that she got to meet was Mickey Mouse. We went to his house in Toontown and meet him. The look on her face was worth the drive down there. She hugged him and did nosey nosey with him. At one point she hugged him and then looked at me while she was hugging him as if to say “thanks Mama”. I had a kleenex moment. There are more pictures on Lily’s Blog too.

Here she is on her Birthday meeting Pluto. She really digs Pluto too.

We saw many other characters at Minnie’s Breakfast at the Plaza Inn. She wasn’t too sure about Chip but soon she warmed up. When ever she saw either Chip or Dale she called them ChipDale Chipmunk.

She was so jazzed to meet Minnie Mouse. We really had to wait a long time during breakfast to meet her. Lily did really well waiting for her I thought we were going to have to leave with out seeing Mickey’s lady.

Carmel Trip

This is me and my new buddy Carmel. I got him at the hotel from the nice people when they delivered my crib. I am getting ready to go to bed in this photo.

I went on my first road trip to a place called Carmel with Mommy & Daddy. We also went to the Aquarium and saw all kinds of really weird looking things. I have seen some of the things when I watch the Nemo movie but it was neat to see them for real. I had a stuffy runny nose while I was there and it was hard for me to sleep so I got to sleep with Mommy & Daddy in their bed and I loved it. I wonder where we will be going next?

This is me and Carmel waking up in the morning…in Mommy & Daddy’s bed.

Carmel Cullos

For my birthday we decided to take our first real road trip to Carmel. It was a last minute decision and we had a hard time finding room but we had a great time. We headed out of town on Friday and ate lunch in Tracy at Sonic Drive In and then stopped in Gilroy. Thanks to my ISO buddy Paige (from Gilroy) she was able to give us the correct exit to take for our pit stop.

The place we stayed at was wonderful. It was so quite and the views were beautiful. We stayed at Carmel Valley Ranch and it is on a golf course. They are two room ‘suites’ with a nice big bathroom and living space.

There was even enough room for Lily to crawl around. The staff was great and we were able to get a highchair, crib and a hummidifer for Lily. When they delivered the crib they also gave her a cute little stuffed dear and baby shampoo, lotion & baby oil. I thought I might have a hard time getting to sleep without hearing the street racing, semi-trucks and the motorcycles we normally hear at home but I was wrong because I fell asleep rather quickly and stayed that way until Lily woke us up.

Lily had some trouble sleeping because she has a runny nose from teething and I think that not being in her own crib was weird for her. Needless to say she ended up sleeping with us on both nights. She started out in her crib but when she woke up at 2:30 or 3:00 A.M. screaming we thought it was best for us (and our neighbors) for her to spend the rest of the morning in bed with us and she agreed.
On Saturday we ordered room service for breakfast (very good food too) ate lunch at the Club House on the golf course and took our time getting ready to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We got to the Aquarium at 3:00 and spent a full three hours there. I was so surprised how well Lily did. She absoulutly loved it. She looked at everything, even the sharks, penguins and the jellyfish. She also got to see the Ocean for the first time.

On Sunday we took our time checking out as their check out time wasn’t until noon. We went to a store called Sandcastles by The Sea to get Lily a StoryBook Musical Doll. She got one as a present when she was born from Rita Zanzinger and we were right down the street from the store so we decided to get her another one. She picked out an Alice in Wonderland doll. We got on the road at about Noon and headed for Auntie Claudia & Uncle George’s house in Walnut Creek but made a quick pit stop in Gilroy for a diaper change and exercise time for Lily. She was more than happy to get out of the car and play with her cousins when we got to Walnut Creek. We finally made it back home by 6:00 P.M.

Louis and I would like to try and make a trip to Carmel every year. It is so beautiful there and Lily can have fun too as there are a lot of things for her to discover at the Aquarium.
